Counselling sessions and fees:
Following an initial assessment, and when both client and counsellor are ready to commit to working with each other, a verbal contract will be made called a working agreement.
Counselling sessions lasts for 50 minutes. Each session will take place at the same time and place each week.
Sessions cost £50 for individuals (£40 concessions) which is payable at the end of each session, through cash or bank transfer. Monthly invoices available upon request. Advanced notice will be given of any increase in fees.
Cancellations and charges:
Please allow 24hrs to cancel appointments, alternatives may be offered if available. Any missed appointment must be paid for before counselling can continue.
All counselling sessions are strictly confidential, this applies to any records held in accordance with the Data Protection Act and GDPR 2018. The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) membership demands that all counsellors are required to be in supervision. Any information taken to supervision will be anonymised to maintain client confidentiality.
Counsellors are required to break confidentiality if:
· the client requests it.
· in circumstances where the client or third party are at risk, a GP or alternative relevant body will be informed. In such cases prior client agreement will be sought.
· legally required to by a court of law. For example, in the case of:
o terrorist activities,
o drug trafficking, and
o abuse of a child or vulnerable adult.
