We begin in my office to understand your needs, explain how walk-and-talk therapy works and consider safety and suitability.
Mallinder CounsellingCounselling in Farnborough & online
Professional counselling with Kate Isabelle Mallinder, MBACP (Accred), offered face-to-face in Farnborough and online.

Change is possible
I’m a qualified and insured counsellor, offering face-to-face and online sessions in a safe and supportive space.
Whether you're navigating a difficult time or simply looking to understand yourself better, I’m here to help at a pace that feels right for you.

Counselling gives you space to slow down, breathe, and talk honestly about whatever you are going through. You might feel overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or simply not yourself. Whatever brings you here, we will take things at your pace.
Sometimes we will focus on what is happening in your life now; at other times, we may gently explore past experiences or patterns connected to how you feel today. There is no pressure to know where to start.
You can expect warmth, steadiness, curiosity and space to be yourself, without judgement or pressure.
ADHD in women
ADHD is more than a professional interest for me. It’s personal. I was diagnosed later in life after years of wondering why some things seemed so much harder for me than they did for other people.
I have a particular interest in women who are undiagnosed, recently diagnosed or diagnosed later in life. You may appear capable on the outside while feeling overwhelmed on the inside, or feel that you are simply not trying hard enough.
I offer an understanding and ADHD-aware space where we can talk honestly about what is difficult and explore what may help, without judgement.
Neurodiversity training
Being side-by-side rather than face-to-face can feel less intense. The natural environment can support a sense of ease and openness.
We begin in my office to understand your needs, explain how walk-and-talk therapy works and consider safety and suitability.
We discuss health considerations, preferences, suitable locations and anything that could affect your comfort.
We agree practical arrangements, including confidentiality in public spaces and what to do if we meet someone we know.
We walk at a pace that feels comfortable, with room for conversation, reflection and pauses whenever they are needed.
We regularly review the weather, environment and your experience. Sessions can be adapted or moved indoors.
When you feel ready, we plan a thoughtful ending and take time to reflect on your progress.
I am an accredited BACP counsellor offering clinical supervision in a collaborative and supportive way.
I provide a space to reflect on your work, explore ethical practice and develop your confidence as a practitioner.
